Paradoxically, I couldn't draw this cartoon until I drew this cartoon

After a rather long hiatus indeed...six things.

Minion #12,743 joyously hails the return of Six Things!

How is it it's taken me this long to realize that your minimalist drawing style leaves you with a shirt/tie combo I can't possibly imagine you wearing in real life? Maybe for the next Six Things, you should include instructions for painstakingly drawing two intricate yet strangely complementary paisley patterns on your clothing.

Yatima: The return of Six Things can in large part be ascribed to my acquisition of a Christmas gift from Rose, namely a drawing tablet peripheral, which I used to do the inking on this cartoon, and which I love to bits. (This is actually the second cartoon I've drawn with it, but the first was for On the Premises and won't appear for a month or so.) It makes the process of going from pencil sketches to finished cartoon much more painless. The old process involved inking over the pencil sketch in pen, redrawing the parts I didn't like on other pieces of paper, erasing the pencil as best I could, and finally using Photoshop to manually clean up the pencil marks I didn't manage to erase and to piece together final panels from bits drawn all over the place. The new method is much less time-consuming.

Debby: This incongruity is covered in strip #50.
