Please do not show my grandmother this cartoon either

Six things.

Whoa, D. Ness is your dad?

I think second cousin and further is totally fair game, assuming they're not too young. Heck, a lot of people have married their first cousins.

True, but then they end up not being first cousins. Right? But yeah, I think the casual use of the term "prevarication" fully cements the pretentious hipster status. Well done!

I thought that was just MY dad.

Thank god for DVRs. Our relationship has gotten so much better since he gained the ability to pause live TV.

With my dad, it's "The tv is never ever ever ever ever on anything other than FOX NEWS or sports. Or maybe the occasional John Wayne movie."

Wait a minute. They were (ficticiously) visiting *you*? In New York? And there were no pretentious hipsters within 50 miles?

Maybe I'm overthinking this...

Yes, and my grandmother is asking if I'll be coming back to my own apartment soon. Or maybe the cartoon is about me visiting my relatives.
