A bit of closure

So it looks like the final corrections to the crossword tournament results have been made at last, hoisting the unlucky Jennifer Turney up to her rightful spot in 23rd place.

It occurs to me that it's unfortunate for yet another reason that the scoring glitch kept her out of the C finals -- if she had been in the C finals, maybe the boorish twits sitting behind us during the finals wouldn't have been making remarks about how all the finalists were guys, and maybe there should be a separate women's division. Yeah, and maybe there should be a division for chauvinist idiots.

Well, I'm glad that at least all of the details of C-Gate are on the site. I feel like I'm living less of a lie now that it lists where all the playoff contestants actually placed and why they were chosen for the playoff.

Any word on whether Saphir is going to be cnsidered a B or a C next year?

I'll be a B. I got the option of remaining a C, but I didn't think that would be fair.

And I actually end up in 28th. 23rd is Marc Maximov, whose puzzle 6 score was also not originally entered.

I'll second the chauvinist idiots final.
