I really like the two subtle weaves in day 220's combo. And Hurray for the tie project!

Thanks, Lorinne!

Posted by rikchik at April 11, 2008 11:53 AMKing Ottokar's Sceptre is set in Syldavia, of course. Wikipedia says that it most closely resembles Slovenia, Slovakia, and Slavonia.
Posted by Hooligan at April 11, 2008 02:07 PMYou know, last week I was shopping at the Garment District, and as I was looking through their selection of ties, I started mentally singing, "What would Francis Heaney do/if he were here right now?/He'd buy a tie or maybe two/that's what Francis Heaney'd do." And now I'm pondering the idea of "WWFHD?" merchandise. Bracelets might do for irony, but ideally they would of course be ties, with the letters making some sort of striking, colorful pattern. Or a car magnet, with the letters inside a necktie shaped to resemble a Jesus fish. Okay, I really need to stop thinking before I get in trouble.
(For the record, I settled on two ties, which aspire to, but probably fall short of, your level of sartorial panache.)
Posted by Tortoise at April 12, 2008 06:05 PMI think the "WW_D?" trend has passed its peak anyway. Tierolling, however, that has some possibilities.
Posted by Francis at April 13, 2008 09:00 AMCould you please let me know if there is a label on the tie in day 217 with the name of the manufacturer? That is a truly stunning neck tie. My e-mail is pharospro@earthlink.net.
Thank you.
It's a Rooster tie. Finding that specific tie is going to be a pretty quixotic task, but there are so many swell Rooster ties, you'll probably find one just as good if you look.
