Comments: The Tie Project, days 90 to 97, plus one more

yeah, the sweater's awesome - also, a lighter-colorful outfit, as opposed to the usual darker-colorful, which was quite an outlier (in a good way) at the tournament.

Day 92 in red is my favorite. And following it with the green complemenary ensemble was brilliant. :)

Guilty as charged (I sent the mirror). Does it work?

Wow! I'm totally amazed at the breadth of your collection. How the heck do you keep them? I only have about 80 ties and I can never find the one i want. And how do you organize them?

Saphir: I haven't tried it yet, since I usually only think about the camera when I've just gotten dressed for work and am already late, but still need to take a photo, so I don't want to take extra time to stick on the mirror. But I'll probably give it a shot this weekend.

Jeffrey: Yyyyyyeah, I don't know if you could call my closet "organized". I keep the ties on 6 sturdy hangers; lately I've mostly been keeping the recently worn ones on the back hanger so that the ones I haven't featured yet are easier to find. But generally I end up rooting through them and hoping the right one will catch my eye. Often I find a tie first and then grab the shirt that matches it, since the shirts are easier to locate, being all lined up and all.

Francis, I was just playing around with fabric matching at 1154 Lill Studio, which lets you choose the fabrics you want for assorted styles of handbags and shoulder bags. (I don't share your knack for pattern matching, so I wimped out with a groovy floral combined with a coordinating solid.) If the women you know have been hankering for a way to combine fabrics without taking to wearing neckties, send them to Lill!

Or there's always Duro dresses.

I just love the tie project and photos. I've commented in an earlier post on the awesome vest but feel I must say it again. You were right to pair it with a solid shirt. The vest needs to be the focal point, and the tie just wrapped it up beautifully.

BTW, Holy Tango of Literature arrived this week. We were going to save it for our vacation read, but I had to preview it. You are incredibly gifted--or incredibly sick! We love it!
