Comments: Heaneyland: Giving the people what they can take or leave since 2003

Yeah, yeah, more Six Things! :-)

For the record, I only tend to listen to mashups if I'm excited about both songs involved.

Based on that criterion, I'm listening to this one the second I get home.

PS - Nobody comments when I post music either. :-/

we're all too busy holding up lighters and headbanging in our offices.

Now I feel like my comment has been preemptively robbed of its sincerity.

Nonetheless-- this was a very cool mashup. It's kind of disturbing what a backbeat does to Red Rain. (Please let me know if I'm utterly misusing the term "backbeat". I'm too tired to look it up on Wikipedia.)

I disagree with him in this instance, however.

Rubrick: Surely you know insincerity is the default assumption for any of your comments.

Doug: It is true that 90 percent of mashups are made by people who think it would be totally revolutionary to mix Diddy with Britney!!! That's partly why I started making them in the first place -- there weren't enough people making mash-ups that consisted only of songs I personally liked.

Now that I've listened to it, I have to say I think it's a little more unnerving to hear a mash-up of two songs I like a lot rather than one or both of them being something I don't care about. But it's only anecdotal evidence so far...
