More disturbing are the other two dolls in the 2nd Edition Famous Women series (bottom of the page), Pocahontas and Fanny Crosby. Aside from not knowing who Fanny Crosby was even after Googling her, I'm bothered by the fact that the blind woman is given the largest eyes and most complicated outfit of the three dolls.

But she seems like a cool woman. Not only did she wrote poetry and hymns that I've never heard of, she was also the visual model for Joe Pantoliano's character in The Matrix. With Cypher's desire to go back to the Matrix, the world of the blind in the movie's overwrought metaphor, it's touches like these that make that movie a classic.
