Hat hat hat hat hat hot hot hot, it's hot in here

Someday, there will be an entire branch of sociology devoted to the study of temper flare-ups on e-mail lists.

Not the least bit related to the above, have you seen someone has come up with "'The Fib', a new poetic form based on the Fibonacci sequence"?

Parents in that side of New York terrify me. I mean, c'mon. Do you really need a lactation consultant? No. No you do not.

I track one Sondheim reference on Heaneyland per month, beginning in February.

Most of the article is moderately amusing, but the final line is priceless.

The full e-mail thread is here, and is pretty darn hilarious.

Hey! Some people DO need lactation consultants, to counteract all the shitty breastfeeding advice their OB/GYNs give 'em.

Hats, on the other hand -- who needs 'em? Soft-headed overpaid fussy people. *REAL* people don't even keep their own hair. Only posers and losers and bourgeoise pigs don't have shaved heads.

Sad but true. I have left similar groups for the same type of silliness from their members. LOL at porous bowl.

Oh and actually the lactation consultant reference was the only one I could relate to. There is NO good advice in any hospital on how to feed a baby the normal/mammal way. And since I had both kids at home with a MW I actually did have LC (but she was free) Maybe they should have said "swiss nannies" or "personal baby chef" to truly hit home with the pretentious vibe. (Two hot topics at my son's preschool- I mean Primary Educational Complex)

Re: Sondheim references. And whose influence might that be? Hmm? I'm looking right at *you*, Little Miss Musical Theatre! ::points accusingly, flees::
