I love the way this news item unquestioningly takes Melanie Griffith's side, apparently not finding her behavior questionable in the slightest.
Posted by Francis at 10:18 PMAnd it doesn't find her delusional "jealous bitch" psychosis worrisome, either. I think an argument can be made that Melanie wrote the piece herself.
Posted by: Victoria at October 10, 2005 12:07 AMVictoria beat me to it - how did this article get there? Definitely not the airline, conceivably another passenger - but most likely Melanie herself (or her "people").
If she thinks this anecdote makes her look good, though, she's crazy. Oh wait...
This reminds me I should read Julie Salomon's "The Devil's Candy," about the making of "Bonfire of the Vanities" (which wasn't such a bad movie). It's supposed to have some choice stories about Ms. Griffith.
Posted by: Ellen at October 10, 2005 08:59 AMBTW have you seen MG's website? Because, um, it's actually MORE unsettling than knowing she hit a stewardess. (Make sure to turn your sound ON for this one.)
Posted by: polyglot conspiracy at October 10, 2005 12:12 PMCreeepy! With a little cognitive dissonance to boot -- strange to think the woman who serenely bids us to "enter the magic door" on the website would play vindictive mind games with her flight attendants.
Oh, and Francis: thanks a lot for introducing me to WeBoggle. It has stolen hours of my time and shattered my self-image. Thanks a whole bunch.
