Link dump

Still busy. But perhaps these links will provide some entertainment during my existential absence.

Toti, the four-day-old orangutan, is Homer Simpson. (Via Monkeywire.)

One of the best poems I've read in ages. (Via Making Light.)

CBGB's lives! (Via BoingBoing.)

The Creed loves the Coop.

Rosey Grier's Needlepoint for Men (Via the A.V. Club Blog.)

I am so going to try this tomorrow.

Apparently a song on the upcoming Broadcast CD is based on a cryptic crossword.

I never get tired of high-speed photography. (Via Happyscrappy.)

And, finally, a little trip back in time to a few of my favorite answers written for the Internet Oracle (one signed, the rest un-): a Seinfeld/Stephen King crossover, Og's adventures at the World Cup, and a "Choose Your Own Life" adventure.

'My boobs will give everyone hours of fun.’ That has to be my FAVORITE line of the Clive James poem!

And CBs may live still! Hoorah, that makes my day!

But Mona, did you see the bees on the "flying insects" page of the high-speed photography link? (Nowhere near as cool as bursting balloons and dancing droplets. Thanks for sharing that, Francis!)

As for the Internet Oracle: Francis = too funny. "Seinfeld" totally needed more blood. Just a few more days before one of my friends hands me a copy of The Holy Tango...

I made the digest, and then the best of, on my very first submission to the Oracle. I wonder if that's why I gave up on it so quickly. It's hard to beat that.
