My eyes! The goggles do nothing!

Coworkers Andrew and Emily have been contributing to my productivity today by directing me to some motivational music videos. Feel free to watch them while I train to be in shape for the long jump in time for Mother's Day:

Mr. T vs. people who don't respect their mothers. (Update: Site is down, but see the comments for alternatives.)

Carl Lewis vs. the '80s.

I'm afraid I must insist that you watch both videos to the bitter end.

I watched the second one but I'm getting a 404 error on the Mr T video. Try this link instead: http://www.compfused.com/directlink/736/

Oh, that's really too bad about the Mr. T video -- the alternative site doesn't have the intro skit or the full video coda, both of which are priceless. I'll see if I can find an alternative source.

When exactly did Carl Lewis turn into Grace Jones, anyway? There are moments in the video where the resemblance is disturbing.

Apparently offering a respite from the disturbing things happening during so many of the other moments.

Not only was that clearly Grace Jones, but she took a sauna with someone who looks like a cross between Elayne Boosler and my stepmother.

"Ne pas deranger" indeed.

If you can put up with iFilm, the entire video is here: http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2667017?htv=12

Now why did that Carl Lewis video have to go and ruin a perfectly good song like that?
