How you gonna keep 'em down at the pharmacy?

Not that anyone here needs to be convinced, but Dahlia Lithwick has compiled a thorough collection of counterarguments to the idea that pharmacists should be allowed to impose their religious beliefs on women seeking contraceptives.

I want to get a job as a pharmacist in a state that allows pharmacists to refuse to dispense medications they disaprove of. Then I'll become a Christian Scientist, and refuse to dispense any medicines at all on religious grounds. Then since there's no need to actually show up for work, since my religious objections prohibit me from actually doing my job, and the law prohibits firing me because I don't do it, I'll get the same job at a dozen more pharmacies.
