I just saw on CNN that a house in Brooklyn was struck by lightning tonight. Odd enough, what with it being winter and all. Odder still, according to the report, is that prior to being struck by lightning it was first swallowed by a sulfurous sinkhole. Scientists describe the matter as "curious."
